I am experiencing problems with my SONY WEGA LCD Projection TV. I have shades (shadows) on my screen; also, I see a lot of small blue dots in one area (middle of the screen). I am able to still watch TV, but these shades and dots are annoying. Do you have any suggestions for this issue?.

The optical block is defective on your TV. Actually it's a Sony defect where the lamp door warps due to the heat. Sony issue an alert on this issue and will fix it until April It happens on these models 2003 Models: KF42WE610, KF50WE610, KF60WE610, KDF60XBR950, KDF70XBR950 2004 Models: KF42WE620, KF50WE620, KDF42WE655, KDF50WE655 They will fix it free of charge until March 31, 2009. So I will call them asap to get an authorized Sony repair person to look at it.
I would suggest to contact sony first and let them know about the defective optical block in your TV.
Good luck.

who ever has problem with rear pj tv's here a simple thing that the manufactoring wont tell that there are vents on these units and filter that needs to be cleaned every month and if you have hairy pets more often. the thing that happening is the system is getting no air
and the lcd is burning up i know this because i've taking them apart
over and over its the same reaction you get for leaving you laptop pc in the sun or in cold weather. extreme enviroment is the culprit. if you see these problems its big money other wise cleaning these vents and filter gives you long life to lamp and the lcds difsusion plate would do something else.
