Is it this one? You can set them up however you like. The shape is not rigid on these things. You could literally use just the curved ones and make only a circle if you want to. See pdf below for several design options from Melissa and Doug.

Many online retailers are happy to send you a replacement manual, or diagrams. Unless somebody here has a copy to e-mail you, I would suggest contacting Melissa and Doug directly. You might have to pay for shipping, but they will probably send you a new set of diagrams no problem.

Go to the Melissa and Doug website and download the PDF file and print it out also if you wish. The set doesn't come with instructions inside the box... Perhaps they figure that children will go ripping through the box and discard it?!
