Here’s a tested resolution to the Trend Micro – No internet connectivity issue:
In this case it was Windows 7 with Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2010.
Right click on the Trend Micro tray icon and choose “Exit”.
Make sure you can get online.
Start Trend micro from the start menu or desktop icon.
Go to the firewall settings under “Home Network & Firewall Controls” *
Click “settings”
Click “advanced settings”
Go to the “Program control” tab
Locate and remove anything that shows “blocked”
Go to the “Network Protocol Control” tab
Locate and remove anything that shows “blocked”
Click OK.
Update the software by clicking “update now” on the main window (Overview) and make sure system shows “Protected” **
Restart the computer and try to go online again.
If successful, you’re done J
