Most wireless controllers have a switch on both the sensor and controller which allows you to select a channel, useful for when you have more than one wireless controller. If yours has such a switch, make sure that both the controller switch and sensor switch are on the same number channel.
unfortunetily the ps2 guitars dont work on the 360 you may be able to trade the ps2 guitar in for a 360 guitar at a local game stop or any place you can trade games at.
Yes you can change just the receiver. There isn't anything wrong with your guitar so just change the receiver. The wireless guitars work with any other PS2 wireless guitar hero guitar receivers.
Hello My Name is Tim, Have you tried to sync the guitar? anything wireless on the 360 has to be synced. If you have tried this please let me know and I will look further into this problem for you. Good luck and hope to hear from you soon.
Check the battery pack on the back of the controller. It's been known to not have good contact at times. I would also try changing the battery. Good luck. :)
