Hi the way I fixed it was to put the unit in standby then hold in the menu button (left hand side next to control button)Then move the control button (right hand side) until you get to demo on. Then hold in the control button until it shows demo off. Job done. Also you can activate the aux settings from here to. Hope this helps Shane

press control knob(the one on the right) for at least two seconds.
the display should go to 'demo off'
keep on pressing it and it will go back to 'demo on' again
it really annoys me that they sell these things in demo mode. demo mode is for a shop, not for a car. but anyway,. i had the same problem and got an answer on the kenwood website. there is manual .. .. its p25.
did you know it can show display in russian?? who needs this kinda ****.

Hi. I am unable to turn the demo mode off my Kenwood KDC-W3037 car radio. I've followed the instructions in the manual and nothing seems to be happening when I move the control knob to either FM or AM to get to the DEMO Menu in Standby. Any other solutions or am I stuck with the Demo Mode on forever?! Thanks, Lorna.
