I think it's the freezer fan that stopped working, open the freezer and see if it goes you should hear it running and even see. This fan allows the cold air into the fridge compartment, without it it takes ages for the fridge to get cold.I've got the same problem if you find the motor online let me know on [email protected]

Can i use a non computer evaporater fan in this ge fridge

As long as the size of the fan, the voltage, and the rpm are the same it doesnt matter. If you still dont feel comfortable about it, computer fans are very inexpensive.
If the fridge has the proper amount of freon and the compressor is working and there are no leaking gaskets then the thermostat would be the logical conclusion. Especially if and I am assuming you have it turned up as far as it will go.

My refrigerator doesnt feel cold at all, the freezer is cold as it could be, what's wrong. It is a kenmor side by side model No. 1065458600

There is a blokage in the duct path due to humidity. Good news is that the Frezzer is cold. Both side share the same compressor, so there is no problem with the compressor. Just unplug power ( not turning it off) the Fridge in 24 hours to melt out the blokage then plug it back. Good Luck.

My refrigaator runs all the time and doesnt stay cold

More than likely the fridge isn't breathing properly. The most common solution for this is to clean behind the fridge. It is the most common place that people forget to clean. On the back of the fridge at the bottom there should be a "filter" usually cardboard that gets full of dust bunnies and just all around dirt. The back is where the fridge breaths air in and without air the fridge suffocates itself and will run more trying to get air in resulting in a warm fridge. Good luck.

Fridge too cold

There is a damper motor that is behind the vent where you feel the cold air coming out in the fridge section.  That damper should open and close after making temp. adjustments.  See if you can look in the vent and see if it is wide open.  Set your freezer on the coldest setting and check this vent again an hour or so later.  If it is still wide open then that damper motor is bad.  Let me know if you find something different or have any questions.
