More than likley its the thermostat stoped working,,its the part that tells the compresor to start up and cool things down, change the thermostat first

Turn it round and check the electrics for the compressor are dry. You probably flooded them when defrosting and may have shorted something. If it still won't start with everything dried out, call a fridge technician

check that it defrost elements (heater elements) are working if they working then check if the sensor is working and if the door is sealing when its closed or if the drain is open.

Sometimes they stick and need a shot of WD 40 and then work
it back and forth a little until it wants to take off again. Keep me informed

If you take the rear cover off the inside of the freezer you can see the evaporator coils. observe the frost pattern. Light frost everywhere(NORMAL)
or a partial pattern of ice(LOW ON FREON) or nothing(LOW FREON OR COMPRESSOR
PROBLEM). .
My wife solved it for me :-) You turn the alarm off with a switch at the bottom. The alarm turns off, but the light stays red for another 4 hours. After that the red light goes off too, and you can turn the switch back on without the alarm going off, if the freezer is back to operating temp.
