Mine was doing this while plugged into a Power Protector. I unplugged it from the Power Protector, disconnected all the speakers, let it sit for about a day or 2, then plugged in only the front speaker and plugged it into the wall directly. It works fine now. Then unplugged it from the wall and back into the power protector in a different outlet and closer to the incoming cord and it works again. Worth a try. Now all speakers are again plugged in and it is working.

Push power protector

If it really says, "Push power protector", there should be a reference to it in your owner's manual. Check there first.

MY SONY HBD-DZ810 HOME THEATER IS CONSTANTLY SHOWING PUSH POWER PROTECTOR

The "PROTECT" and "PUSH POWER" messages will flash alternately when the protective device of the amplifier has been activated because a strong signal was input, or if there is a short-circuit detected. Press the POWER button on the unit to turn off the system, and check the following items after "STANDBY" disappears.

1) Are the + and - speaker cords short-circuited?
2) Are you using only the specified speakers?.
3) Is anything blocking the ventilation holes of the system?
