What does it mean?

Not really bad news. The unit requires a door lock assembly.
SOURCE: MAYTAG NEPTUNE ERROR CODE OE
I have a Samsung Washer and the water would just keep pouring in and not stop. Eventually the OE error code would show and I would have to stop and turn off the water.
Thanks so much. You can fix this problem yourself. There are only two screws holding this part on. It is easy. I bought my part here.

Nobody stocked the part for the samsung but I found out that the Whirlpool part was exactly the same.

Code OP means lid is open. If it really isn't, then the problem is with the switch that sense whether the lid is shut or not. Could be bad switch or bad connection.

your machine has a fill problem either your screen is pluged on the water hose either hot or cold or your water is turned off.

The error code you describe is not listed in Maytag's book of codes. The link below will take you to Maytag's website error code page where you might be able to match it up.

LO error code:
Locked: Lid has failed to unlock -
the machine has repeatedly tried to
unlock the lid. Push lid closed to
make sure nothing from the inside is
pressing against the lid, preventing
unlocking.
Is that the issue? Have the Lid locks failed to release and you can't open the Lid?
Or have the Lid Locks released so you can open the washer lid but the error code LO remains?
