IF YOU DO NOT USE THE HIBERNATION OPTION THEN YOU CAN GO AHEAD AND DISABLE IT
NOTE: HIBERNATION OPTION CONSUMES A LOT OF SPACE ON YOUR COMPUTER.IT MIGHT HAPEEN THE COMPUTER DOES NOT HAVE FREE SPACE SO THAT IS WHY IT IS GOING TO HIBERNATION.
PLEASE FOLLOW THIS LINK AND THEN CHECK WHAT IS YOUR EXACT PROBLEM:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929658

MY EXPERIENCE:If you happen to use a computer with more than 1GB of RAM coupled with Windows XP SP2, then you will have trouble putting your computer to hibernation. You may get this message, “Insufficient System Resources Exist to Complete the API”. When you experience this problem, the hibernate feature is not available on the computer until you restart the computer. I was facing this problem because my computer has got 2GB of RAM and putting it to hibernation was causing me trouble. Well you need not worry about it any more as Microsoft has issued a patch for this problem

Computer wont turn on after lightening strike and i cant find the reset button on the inside of my sony vaio pcv-rx753. i have reset it twice in the past but now i must be blind. any ideas?

Those internal things are CMOS reset. that won't help you. but try this. Unplug the computer for a while, while cylcing the power button, then plug it back in. The power supply has an internal circut breaker and this will hold open as long as the power is still applied. once drained it will close and if it is still good you should be able to start it.

If you are trying to shut down with the camera still connected!!??GOTO the bottom right of screen and ""safely remove hardware"" see if the system will shut down.....sometimes a hardware driver does not want to shut down so you must turn it off and plug it in again when you start windows again....
