MY EXPERIENCE:If you happen to use a computer with more than 1GB of RAM coupled with Windows XP SP2, then you will have trouble putting your computer to hibernation. You may get this message, “Insufficient System Resources Exist to Complete the API”. When you experience this problem, the hibernate feature is not available on the computer until you restart the computer. I was facing this problem because my computer has got 2GB of RAM and putting it to hibernation was causing me trouble. Well you need not worry about it any more as Microsoft has issued a patch for this problem
