I CANT GET THE TAPE OR D0 ANYTHING WITH THIS CAMERA. HOW DO I FIX IT. I POPPED TAPE OUT ONE TIME PUT A DIFFRENT ONE IN AND DID THE SAME THING.
After filming a long program (3 Cassettes the camera will not accept these cassettes. At first the carriage would retract and immediately the display would signal eject. Now it will not retract at all with a cassette in place. With no cassette it works normally.

Hi,, try to put the camera in vcr mode and press rewind button and fast foward alternately until the tape start to move then press eject few time
if its not a big mechanism problem you may be able to ejected if not that will have to be made manually
by removing the cover and look where the tape is hook in the mechanism ;i sugest to you to call a
good technician
hope that will help you.
"E06" it is the carriage mechanism that has failed. and will
not carry the tape to the heads and thus is not passing the sensor that
tells you if the tape is in position and then telling the unit as it
should there is fault.
take it to the nearest dealer and get it fixed.
Poor contact of drum motor connection(flexi found at the upper part of the drum assy). Solution, disconnect this wire from the connector and cut 1mm from the end so that it will make a new contact. WIre will be shortened a little bit but it still can work this way since this flexi can not be ordered alone, it comes complete with the whole drum assy. Good Luck
hi, its a moisture problem, if you are tecenition then open your camera and clean the power cable properly and fix it properly , you got magic, and its 110% working
mine is in safe mode 3 too and it won't go away. It's over a year old and not worth $$$ to fix. It's time to move up to a HD hard drive video. I suggest you too.
Safe gaurd mode can mean a number of different problems, most of the time being mechanical, if you are not a tech. you will need to take it in for service.
1. The drum cannot be started or drum rotation is stopped
because tape transport load is too high.
1) Tape tension is extremely high.
2) The tape is damaged or soiled with grease, etc.
2. The DRUM FG signal is not received by the syscon
CPU.
1) Disconnection in the middle of the signal line.
2) Failure of the DRUM FG pulse generator (hall element).
3. No drum control voltage is supplied to the MDA.
4. No power is supplied to the DRUM MDA.
I tried every method I could find from people posting on the web, but the method that worked for me is this.
1. Eject the tape and close the tape holder.
2. Turn the camera off and remove the battery.
3. Put the battery back in. Leave the camera off.
4. Open the tape holder.
5. Slide the tape in, but as you press the holder in to accept the tape, keep your finger pressing in on the holder, being careful not to slow the tape holder from moving downward.
6. Turn the camera on.
7. If it doesn't work the first time, press more firmly to help the tape holder accept the tape.
That's it. This method seems to work for me and lets me use the camera for a long while. If the camera is sitting unused for more than a few hours, I have to do it again. And each time I insert a tape, I make sure that I keep pressing as the tape holder lowers the tape.
Someone here recommended on another post to put the lense cap on &
videotape the blackness in a quiet room for 5-10 mins. I tried this as
a last resort & it worked. When I played back the tape, no more
skipping or gray lines. I had 4-5 SOLID gray lines with skipping video
& audio in between on every tape I put in. I think the person who
helped me solve this said that it was a result of the tape alignment
going off. My camera is a Canon zr80 digital camcorder. (Called Canon,
they had me reset it & then recommended sending it in).
A jvc right? need a model but if it's what I think it's one of two things.either the belt came off the capstan motor or there are 3 connectors along the bottem edge of the main board.
