My Minkah ceiling fan will not sustain rotation when given a call to spin. It starts off initially and then slow down to barely spinning. It does this on all 3 fan settings. What might be the issue?

IT IS THE STARTER CAPACITOR NOT CHARGINGING UP TO INITIALLY CRANK MOTOR TO RUN SPEED,, BE VERY CAREFUL AS MOTOR WILL GET EXTREMELY HOT AND COULD MELT WIRING AS AMPERAGE NOT GETTING RELEASED, JUST LIKE HOLDING AN ARC WELDER TO LONG WHEN ROD STICKS

I need a ceiling fan capacitor but when I search I can't find the same specs. I have E185116 and I believe its C61. It is a 5 wire switch with 4.5/6/5 and the 4.5 is 300V and the others 250V.

two different items one is a switch and you are looking for a capacitor ( two wires )
if it is a capacitor that you want all you will need is the voltage and the uf or mf reading
one is the voltage that it can operate at and the other is the capacitance value of the capacitor for the motor
so for example--- the printing will read like 300 volts --- 15uf
and you will need around the same size to fit in place of the other one
e-bay will sell them

Capacitors e185116

It's a good motor. How do change the speeds? If you have it on a dimmer switch, that's your problem.

Light comes but fan doesnt the capacitor is swelled up where can i buy another capacitor? the numbers are E185116 C22.2NO.190

Try the link below. Without having the UF (electrical size of the capacitor) it is hard to source exactly your capacitor. This one below should work.

Fan stopped running. no power to the fan (ie, no

You may find the parts that you need at the following web site...http://www.eceilingfans.com/
They have all of the capacitors there. All you need are the number of wires and the capacitor micro-farad ratings.

Hampton Bay Kemper running Half Speed & Half As Bright

My hampton bay fan began running at full speed on all three fan positions a few weeks ago. I replaced the switch, which did not work. I noticed that the small black box (capacitor) inside the recess behind the light cover has a large bulge that has cracked the plastic. The part number (C61 E185116) does not reveal any websites that can offer a replacement, and hamtonbay.com redirects to homedepot.com. This fan is apparently made by home depot, and it is not backed in the same manner as Hunter fans are (I received a free replacement part for a Hunter about five years after purchase). From this experience and what I have read in this forum, I have learned to avoid the hampton bay fans. It is too difficult to find a part when there is no real manufacturer to contact for assistance.

Fan & lights doesnt work

If you can find the exact fan at Home Depot, purchase it and return the lemon that you have. I cannot find a hampton bay website. Home Depot apparently buys these directly from overseas manufacturers, so there is no "company" to contact for real support. I had no luck finding my capacitor C61 E185116. Stick with the big names like Hunter in the future. Believe it or not, I received a free trim ring for mine about five years after purchase because it kept falling onto the body. Now that is world-class support!
