Check device manager if ethernet adapter is installed or not installed. for this you type 'devmgmt.msc' on run.If ethernet adapter is not installed you can use your motherboard driver cd for installation of drivers

Lan adaptor dose not show in divice maneger cant instal driver

Do the on-board LAN works properly. If not, install the motherboard drivers. A CD should be there with this Gigabyte MB, has to be installed to get all the Chips Drivers.
If you're trying to get drivers for a separate LAN adapter, other than the on-board one, just make the on-board LAN to get work, connect your BB connection to it, and the system will search for drivers for it by internet. Follow the instructions you see there.

No internet connection with lan on my dell dimension 4700 i up dated drivers but no luck. wy wireless works but no hard wired. i just installed win 7.

Kindly check Device Manager if the driver has been successfully installed. Check if there is a bang (exclamation mark) under Network. Make sure that the downloaded driver is compatible with Windows 7. If this has been done, 1. Go to BIOS and see if LAN has been disabled 2. check if there is a blinking light on the LAN port on your computer. If there isn't, then I guess you may need to change your LAN card.

I have a D-link DGS-1005G. I have two computers connected and a printer. The D-Link is also connected via LAN. I can obtain internet connection to each computer with wireless and the printer will not...

Hi, you have to set up your printer as a device that can be communicated in your LAN by the two PCs.

To set up your printer properly in the LAN, you need to assign a fixed IP to this printer such that whenever it is switch on again, both PC still communicate to this printer without changing the new IP assigned to this printer.

You need to set up this fixed IP properly in your DLink router. For guidance please check this in your user manual of the Dlink. Please let me know any problem you may have again in future.

So you are connecting the DSL Modem output to the D-Link's LAN port 1, right? In this case, you should connect the DSL Modem output to the D-Link's WAN Port, which is between the power input and the LAN outputs.

If it doesn't work that way, check this out:
