We have an older model of the air condition units. When we use it, there is alot of water that is coming thru the unit and leaking all over our floor. Is this something that can be fixed? If so, who should we contact??

The drain that should be carrying the condensate water outside is stopped up. Compressed air works well to clear the drain.

Frigidaire FAC107S1A leaking water thru the inside of the house

Hello, first make sure the unit is tilted back in the window about a 1/4 inch. Also, check the drain on unit, sometimes they can clog and prevent condensate from draining.

Why does the air conditioner leak water from behind the unit. My air conditioner is placed in a wall and the back end of the conditioning unit sticks out inside the garage. I have ventilation by...

It is normal for an air conditioner to leak water out the back. This water is actually the humidity being taken out of your house. Being vented out in to the garage is always an issue with condensate water. I have seen some people take a funnel and run a hose outside the garage somewhere. Keep the vent closed. It will be harder to cool the house with the vent open because it lets outside air in to the house.

WATER LEAKING

Water should come out of the back of a wind unit when it is humid out, usually a drain hole. If water is leaking inside from a window unit, check that the outside drail hole is not clogged or maybe it is not tilted downward enough outside (Usually a very slight tilt down toward the outside to help the water drasin out the back outside). Also, if you have excess water forming, you may need to clean the coil. For central air units water should be drippng outside the home via a pipe or tubing and if the drain tube or pipe is clogged with scum that forms inside the pipe water will back up and overflow in the house near the heater/air conditioning unit. Also, some units have a pump to pump the water out and it may not be working.

Leaking water

mcdevito75 here, The portion of the a/c unit that goes outside the window is the evaporator and suppose to leak water, check the drain hole in the unit floor on the outside portion of the unit, reach this drain hole thru another window or have your local a/c repair shop look at it, they come to the house.

When I keep my air condition on auto and it has ran then turns off when the temp. is reached it has began leaking

your unit needs cleaning.

when fan is running, it creates a vacuum that hold the water from spilling from your unit, then at auto, as the temperature is reached, the fan would stop and the vacuum that keeps the water from spilling would disappear and starts to leak water.

have ti clean....

that would eliminate your problem..

tnx 4 using fixya,
