In the OPTIONS screen, click SETUP, then SETUP SCREEN and choose INVOICE SETTINGS. Uncheck the box for PROMPT CASHIER ID. Exit back to LOGIN screen. This should fix your problem.

With your previuos problem and now this, it might be wise to reload RPE and SQL Server. Be sure to backup database first. Then uninstall RPE and delete all folders dealing with CRE. Uninstall SQL server and all related software. You can then install both from the CD or download.You will probably need to reregister RPE. Then restore your database.

depending on the size of your backup, it might take several (and seemingly long) minutes to backup your entire database. when it's done backing up, it will pop up a message such as "backup saved successfully." you may also want to try calling up their support to get their automatic backup solution setup. it's comes with the software as an optional add on, but it's free and works behind the scenes on a schedule, it's been a real life saver for me!

certainly. most reports have a "save as excel" option once you generate them (at least, the full sized ones). CRE does have a direct QB interface however that is prob easier. you can also run direct queries off the database itself and save the results of those as an excel file.

I think, based on my own experiences, Restaurant Pro Express just plain sucks, this issue happens to me all the time, but I had to pay tech support regardless. Every time my router fails, I have to reauthorize the software, which means I waste 1-2 hours on hold with their so called tech support.
Do not buy this software. Restaurant Pro Express is a mistake.

As far as I know, there is no way to change the font settings in CRE (I hope you mean RPE). But, you may be able to change the default settings in the printer itself to get larger print.
