Hw to activate gprs in my blackberry pearl (8100) mobile . im using airtel service

It is pearl 8100.They need the phone model and not the company.By the way BIS only works for blackberry and not bsnl gprs.to activate the Blackberry Plans just call 1505 or 1800 180 1505 from BSNL

Manual Airtel Gprs Settings

1. Homepage - any page you want to set.
2. User Name - Blank
3. Password - Blank
4. Proxy - Enabled/yes.
5. Proxy and Server Adress - 202.56.231.117
6. Proxy and Server Port - 8080
7. Data bearer - GPRS or Packet Data.
8. Access Point Name - airtelgprs.com
9. Authentication Type - Normal
10. Use preferred access point - No

For the GPRS setting you have to communicate with mobile carrier

im using airtel gsm sim ,so i want to activate gprs so give the manual settings of blackberry pearl of 8100 series

Check whether you are getting EDGE/GPRS in upper case.Have you activated BB services,if you have already activated BB services there may be a network issue also and check whether there is a check mark in blackberry internet services(Menu-Options-Security Options-Firewall-BlackBerry Internet Service)if there is a check mark on it remove it.If you are using BIS check the default browser is Internet Explorer of if you are a BES user default browser is Blackberry Browser.Menu-Options-Advanced Options-Browser-Press menu-change Options-select the browser according to the service.

you can do this in a couple of ways. you can either call the original service provider and tell them you want the phone unlcoked for international travel OR you can try one of the pay sites located around the web, but these are sceetchy and usually a scam, unlocking a phone for use on another network or monitary gain is illegal and you can be fined if they catch you.

how to feed bsnl gprs setting manually to blackberry 8100 mobile

Hi i am using Blackberry pearl 8100 and service provider is airtel. I would like to connect GPRS internet but i am unable to do it. I am not able to get manual settings for my browser . Can anyone pls help me out how to work on it. It will be more helpful for me if you can. you can even mail me to this id [email protected] this is my id.

1. Press Blackberry Button
2. Go into Options
3. Go into Advanced Options
4. Select Host Routing Table
5. Highlight top line
6. Press Blackberry Button
7. Choose Register Now.

You should now have the Service Books for your current Service Provider.

Click Properties -> Advanced and add

Without the quotes.

I don't have the phone to check it tho.
