Hi,

The disc may not play in your player unless your player has its latest firmware upgrade.

It suggests that you visit this web page which contains a listing of all the various Blu-ray players and links to the various websites where the firmware upgrades can be downloaded.

Hope this helps.

If it doesn't help, you can reinstall its optical dik driver (blue-ray included).

    Hopr this helps.

If you installed another video driver lately, it may cause not to work the blue-ray property.

You may try to update your video drivers from this link.

These are the possibilities for not working the blue-ray discs.

    Waiting your comments.

As I find from the service guide of your ACER Aspire 6935g, the model is MATSHITE DVD (Sony Blu-ray Disk). You can check it as it shown in the service manual and update the firmware.

Hi,

You need to download K Lite Codec Pack (Its Free) and you can install it via....... or you can try googling it.

http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm

It contains all the different audio and video codecs. Your computer might not play it because it doesnt have a blue ray codec by default

Please post your feedback and Vote if the problem resolved as per your satisfaction.

My Aspire 6920G works great other than it wont play Blueray DVDs. I have been advised to download this cure ?. Acer Arcade Deluxe v1.13.4806. Will it work ?.

This is unlikely to help. Firstly a clarification. Blu-Ray discs and DVDs are two different types of discs. A standard DVD drive, found in more computers, cannot play Blu-Ray discs. Firstly, insure that your computer has a BR drive. In the case of a desktop PC, there should be a logo on the front of the drive that will indicate. In the case of laptops and netbooks, the logo should be on the bottom of the device. Otherwise you may check the device's properties in the Control Panel to be certain.

Assuming your device does support Blu-Ray, you must have special software to play it. The most common and well supported is Cyberlink's PowerDVD application. Despite the name, it plays BR discs are well. You can buy it at the Cyberlink website here:

http://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdvd/overview_en_US.html

However, if your device has a BR capable drive, it's likely that BR software was included with it. Check any installation discs that came with your computing device.

How to play Blu-ray movie on 5536G?

Arcade Deluxe is nothing more than a **** media center with a useless media player in it - get rid of it. If you want to play BR disks there are 2 options: either install a good codec pack like http://www.free-codecs.com/download_soft.php?d=5748&s=775 an use WMP or install and use VLC http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

I cannot play Blu Rays on my Acer (Vista) PC with

If the drive doesn't read any disc's you need to reinstall the drivers and verify you have the latest version. If the drive is ONLY having trouble with Blu-ray then i'm assuming it's the player that you're using; it may not have the right Codac's etc. Also, try multiple Blu-ray movies to verify it isn't just the one movie.

Can't get Blu-Ray DVDs to play through my Acer laptop to LCD TV

The specifications of this laptop states that it has a Dual layer DVD R/W drive. This drive can only play DVDs and CDs but not BluRay discs and it can burn single and dual layer DVDs and CDs.

Acer Aspire 6930 won't play Blu Rays

Your DVD is not Blue Ray capable. You would need to purchase a Blue Ray DVD player for your laptop, just having the software does not allow you to read them.
