try going to Dewaltservicenet.com and typing in your model number in the middle of the site towards the botttom will pull up a schematic on this and you should be able to download an owners manual from there also.

if you still have the owners manual look in the back of it for the remote model number. go to www.sony.com and look under support for parts and accessories. use the model number of the cd changer to find the accessory list.

Get the make and model number of the unit you are decribing, and search the web for the owners manual. I'm sure the instructions for turning off the FADE feature are there.
