I only have problems with email in outlook on my Lenove N500. I type along and all of a sudden, the email has been sent without me hitting "send." This is a huge problem, happens with great frequency and I cannot figure out what I am hitting to make it do this. This morning, just after I opened an email to reply, it was sent without me typing anything. HELP!

Your solution does not work. I know I am not hitting different keys on this keyboard than I do on my work keyboard, and I have no problems there. Maybe the keys are uber-sensitive? Something wierd is going on, for sure.

Hi,
Try following steps
1. Click on start >> go to control panel >> double click on internet options >> click on advanced tab and click reset >> check the box to delete personal files and click reset.
2. Click on start >> all programs >> accessories >> click on run and type "prefetch" and then press enter. select and delete all files.
3. Click on start >> all programs >> accessories >> click on run and type "%temp%" and then press enter. Select and delete all files [Note : if you fail to delete any particular file than leave it and delete the reset]
Try this and that will resolve the issue. If it doesn't help than you have to make sure that you are not pressing any key while typing the message on outlook which sends the e-mail.
Good Luck :)

Incoming emails are not appearing in the inbox folder of Microsoft Outlook 2010.

Could be your Outlook profile got corrupted somehow. If you use your account settings on another PC w/Outlook does the trouble follow? Or is it strictly w/your PC? Obviously, other profiles are working fine (your partner's). One solution might be to backup your .pst file to the C: drive or a USB drive, completely delete your old profile, and build a new one. Once your confirm that email is working properly, then attempt to reload your old .pst file to get all your old email back.

Something else you could try is to open Outlook in Safe Mode. This will run Outlook with minimal addons in order to eliminate the possibility that some sort of addon is the culprit.

You can use one of these methods to start Outlook using a command line switch:
Hold Ctrl key as you click the Outlook shortcut.
If you use Vista or Windows 7, type outlook.exe /safe in the Start Search field on the Start menu then press Enter.

Why doesn't it work correctly?

Also, make sure nothing is in your Outbox folder. If any emails are stuck in this folder, it will cause issues.

My emails no longer go into my "Sent" folder?

This depend on what are you using. Maybe it is not set to save a copy into the send folder.
Are you using a browser? Outlook? Outlook Express?

How do I retrieve an email that was forwarded but not sent just disappeared when I hit a bump on the road while typing into it using outlook express?

First of all, don't type emails while driving, it's not safe and you should always keep your eyes on the road!

Second of all, emails shouldn't just "disappear" when you hit a bump in the road while you're typing. You probably hit some sort of key combination during the shock which deleted your email.
You could try and login to your mailbox directly as outlook express is just 3rd party software to help you get your emails. For instance if you're using Windows Live Mail or Gmail you could just go to the website, login and check if your email is still there. However, this will depend on your Outlook Express settings. Some of these programs will delete the email from your mailserver in order to keep it from getting full.

Hope this helped!

My default email program is Outlook Express. It works just fine with one exception. Suddenly, without any sort of notice, the "sent emails" part of the program emptied itself and will not archive...

I had a similar problem and got no help from Microsoft. I set up a second email account in yahoo and now send a copy og my outgoing mail to my yahoo account. I know that doesn't solve the problem, but it works for now.
