Turn off the Phone...take out the battery and finde a good sized bag of Rice. Rice Absorbs Moisture!!!!! Im serious try it or look for moisture absorbing packets and put it in a small box for a gew days with the phone in it. Try this and it should help..otherwise if you know how to take apart the phone, do this carefully and use a hair dryer to dry out all the water. Once the sensistive components get wet your prett much done for...time for a new phone....but in some cases you get lucky and you get away with little or no damage at all...Good Luck to you!

Drooped in water how do i fix it

Jerry, Good try with the hair dryer but it won't work. the damage has already been done, it's like dropping your television in the bath tub and praying it will still work. The repair cost is going to more than a new camera. I know because I repair cameras.

What should i do if i drop my phone in water?

try not to dry it with a blow-dryer, because it may burn it. try to open the phone and dry these different parts on an air, not on the sun bcause it may damage it. dont be afraid if some of the buttons doesnt work. they will continue working in sevral days, when they are dried complitely. :)

I dropped my phone in the tolit and i took the battery and sd card. i dried it. all 3. then i used a blow drier. then put it in rice. will it work?

Hello,

Yes it will work, since you have taken out a great quantity of water from it using the blow drier.
The steps to get it to work are:
  1. Remove the back cover,
  2. Then remove the sim card and the scan disc memory card,
  3. Then try to open it up by using a torx screw driver,
  4. then slide an object around the edges of the phone to remove the front cover,
  5. Then blow dry it for a while,
  6. Take note not to get the blower too close to the screen to avoid damages,
  7. Reassemble the phone back together and turn it on.
It will work perfectly fine. Since you have done most of the job, just carry out the rest and turn it on.

Take care and good luck

WATER :-O PLEASE HELP

Hello scared2008,

I am sorry to hear about your MP3 player. Sadly, water and electronics do not get along. If the unit was submerged there is bound to be some damage. Still, there are some things you can do to minimize the damage,

First, make sure the unit is powered off and do not attempt to power it back on until you are sure it is completely dry both inside and out. If the battery pack is removeable take it out. Water will short out and damage components that have power applied to them.

Secondly, dry the unit thoroughly both inside and out. You can wipe water off the outside using a dry towel. For the inside, you can try using a handheld hair dryer. However, heat can also damage the unit so make sure you use a dryer with a "cool air" setting. Blow air into the unit through the headphone jack, USB port, etc.

Give the MP3 player plenty of time to dry out. Wait until you are sure it is completely dry. And then wait a few hours longer. Afterwards, you can try reinstalling the battery (if needed) and powering the unit up.

Even if you managed to get the power disconnected and everything dried out as quickly as possible, the sad fact is that the MP3 player may still have sustained major damage. Some electrical components are made of carbon paper and can absorb moisture. So, even if there wasn't an electrical short some of the electronics inside may not work.

It's possible that a unit with water damage may be repairable. You will want to contact he manufacturer about that repair if needed. Unfortunately water damage would probably not be covered by any warranty the unit might have, so you will probably have to pay for the repairs. Depending on the extent of the damage it may make better economic sense just to replace the unit with a new one.

Best Regards,
Ken

Sanyo Xacti S650 Digital Camera

Wait for it to completely dry out. If you still have the same problem, the circuitry is probably damaged because of the water.
Contact Sanyo tech support and see if you can get it replaced under warranty. (Dont mention that you dropped it in water, though :)

If the transformer is you must have a low voltage short.
does your transformer have a trip switch that you can reset?
You could try to use a hair drier and dry out any water residu in the compartment. but my guess is you have a low voltage short.
