My computer crashes whenever I disconnect my fast track

Since there is no on or off switch, the only way I can see to disconnect my fast track when i'm done with it is to unplug the usb....when I do I get a blue screen and have to shut the computer down.

Also I get no sound coming through the headphones, and yes I have pushed the monitor button.to on..

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!.

Why do i hear some sort of static whenever a sound comes through my fast track, but doesnt happen when im just listening to sound straight out of the computer?

Open up your computer to check usb connection make sure the connection is good and dust free
or you might have to clean the dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the CPU central processing unit and your sound card dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems
be sure to wear an anti static earth strap before touching anything inside your computer
hope this helps

How do we connect an m audio fast track pro to my pc and mixer (dp-01fx)?

All you have to do is to connect with 2 cables your mixer's output to the two 1/4” TS plus in the front side of the Fast Track Pro and a usb cable from the rear panel of the Fast Track Pro to your pc's usb port. I suppose that you have installed the drivers for Fast Track Pro at your pc.
Anyway in case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post.

Bad tracks won't delete

Have you tried updating the firmware. Even if it is the lastest edition, download the firmware manually and run the software. Then format in Windows Media player. Best Regards Keith
