I have a KDL-32S3000 that powers on for a few seconds and then shuts down. The standby light flashes 6 times, pause, 6 more times and so on. I'm fairly sure this is a code that would lead a technician to the problem. I've seen this before on other brand TV's and have typically replaced the main boards - signal. Never seen this with a sony so I want to make sure it's not something else.
Any ideas?

Hi, If all else fails, try do a hard reset. You can verify from your manual, but in some units, this is merely unplugging the unit from mains for a couple of hours. Try again, if it still shows error codes (blinking lights) you probably have to seek the services of a qualified professional. Hope this be of some help/idea. Good luck and kind regards.

you can have the inverter board replaced...instead of the entire panel.
KDL 40S2010: inverter part # 178950032, you will also need 2 spacers..part # 289765511
you're looking @ 200-300$ for the inverter and 5-10$ a piece for the spacers.
KDL-46V2500: inverter part # A1251295B
you're looking @ around 500-600 $ for the part

the error code is triggered by the inverter fuses, which blow when the inverter fails

I am experiencing exactly the same problem. TV turns on but within 60 seconds the screen goes black and the red standby light blinks six times. Were you able to resolve this problem on your TV?
B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then
displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power
supply circuit, check T603 and R672.
Have you set the output voltage correctly?
