I know this post is a few years old, but I own the same 110 washer mentioned above. Also couldn't find lint filter and learned there isn't one.

BUT you can take a cheap/old nylon knee high and use a rubber band to attach it to the drainage hose (as if it's a condom, guys). When it gets a little gunky, trash it and put on a new one. (Also to guy: you can gen. buy these things inexpensively in the hosiery section of any grocery or drug store.)

No Lint Filter sorry you have a basic design washing machine, Dont replace it though it wont do u any justice just pocketbook pain

I can't find the user manual for this particular Whirlpool washer And manuals of a similar model number don't mention the filter location. The customer service phone number at Whirlpool is 1 800 253 1301 and they would want that model number to help. I thought this had a self cleaning filter. pull out the filter, then you can clean it. carefully when you pull it out,
there are keys/knock, don't until broke.

The newer Whirlpool top-loaders have lint screens on the inner tub and not accessible. These are supposed to self-clean during the drain cycle. I've heard that liquid fabric softener and detergent build-up may clog the screens when lint sticks to the gooey screens. Try something that will cut the goo like vinegar or ammonia in a small load level without clothes. Without clothes in the washer, that is.

Older Whirlpool washers have lint filters located above the tub, on the lid opening.

lift the cap off the agitator. You're now looking at the lint trap. clean the inside of the agitator and that should solve you're problem

LINT LEFT OVER CLOTHES
It has a self cleaning lint filter. Front loaders call for "Special" HE detergent .....and I would only use about a table spoon..You may be Cloging the special self cleaning lint filter ,with extra soap .Top loaders use a lot of water compared to front loaders.
