Dell Latitude D 410 has suddenly (worked yesterday) stopped connecting to all known (and working) wireless networks. Is my internal wireless card gone?

If you get a 'Limited connectivity" on you wirelessconnection on your laptop, it means that the wireless card on your laptopprobably did not get an IP address from the wireless router.
To fix this problem, right click on the wireless icon on the Task bar and thenclick Repair.
This will force the wireless router to issue a IP address to the wireless cardon the laptop.

Brother i have just opened a wireless network but my wireless network is not working properly. Can u plz contact me for some help i shall be very thank full to you if u do this favour for me. Thanks...

Troubleshooting issues with wireless connectivity can be tricky. There are a bevy of potential causes for drops in the connection, slow-downs in throughput and sporadic signal loss. As such, it's best to take a shotgun approach, throwing a number of possible fixes at the problem and hoping one sticks.

Check if your laptop's wireless switch or button is turn on - look around the laptop in front, back or sides. Sometimes you might touch to turn off accidently and you don't know. Many laptops have the wireless light indicator, check if the wireless light is on and blinking.

Look for F1 to F12 functions keys, they are on the top row of the keypad. Look for one has an icon that looks like the wireless, which is to control the wireless connection of your laptop. It maybe F8 or F9 depends on each make of your laptop. These function keys also control the brightness, sound, touchpad etc. You will need to hold down the Fn + F8 combination keys together, in this example the Toshiba laptop's wireless setting.

Check Network connections; make sure the laptop connection is not 'disabled'. It should has the gray color if it's disabled. Right click on it and enable it.

  • 4

If none of the above works, you will need to enable the Wireless Zero Configuration in services.msc (type this in from Run command), or you can see it this way: Right click My Computer -> Manage -> Services and Applications -> Services.

How do i get my netbook to connect to the internet/ what wireless device can I get to make it work

You need to have an active internet connection with a wireless gateway to connect to the "net" wirelessly. You also need to have a wireless device installed in your laptop. The device in your laptop usually has a switch to turn it off and on. This switch maybe on the side of the laptop or may be on one of the keyboard function keys, either way, the wireless support lamp should be on or green for the wireless system to work on the laptop.
If you do not have an active wireless internet connection, you cannot connect to the net although you should be able to connect to a unsecured wireless network which is in range of your laptop ( like in a shopping centre).
If your laptop does not have a wireless device fitted, visit your local computer shop to ask what they have available and at what cost.

I hooked up wireless router for computer.....one laptop and an ipod work off the network, but i have another laptop that see's the network but does not connect.......the same laptop will connect to anyother...

The wireless card in this other laptop needs to be configured with this router's wireless settings. It is using the other wireless router's settings and therefore cannot connect to this wireless router..
Most wireless cards in laptops will allow you to setup different Profiles for different router's wireless settings. This will allow the laptop to connect to the different wireless routers by selecting the Profile for the wireless router you want to use.
I suggest you name the Profile by location which will make it easy to identify the correct wireless router.

Cant connect printer to wireless laptop.

have you setup the wireless connection in between the printer and the laptop...
your laptop is working wirelessly with the internet but for making the printer to use it wirelessly the printer should be also a wireless printer.

and if the printer is a wireless printer then you have to setup the connection in between the printer & laptop to work wirelessly.

    Laptop won't connect to wireless

    Hello :-)
Try going into device manager, and uninstalling your wireless network adapter.
Reboot your PC. It will automatically reinstall your wireless network card.
Now try your wireless connection. This often solves random wireless issues.
    Good luck!
