Looking for instructions on dis\assembly of a waterpump on a 2002 KTM 400EXC and tools required?

A "diagram" of the water pump? Are you looking for replacement instructions? If so, it would be really helpful if you were to mention WHICH ENGINE your 2002 Ford Ranger is equipped with.

You'll need to remove the top end (cylinder and head. Then remove the rest of the engine from the frame. Remove all side covers. Using the proper puller, pull the flywheel and remove waterpump. Remove clutch basket and primary gear from crank and transmission shaft. Remove drive sprocket. Remove all case bolts and using a case splitting tool, pull the 2 case halves apart to expose crankshaft and transmission. This is a very involved project and having a manual for reference and scematics is highly recommended.

Seats changed in 2003. So i think you'll be looking for a 4 stroke ktm between '98 and '02. Ebay is an easy route to go, or you can order a new foam and cover from Moose or Enduro Engineering and rebuild your own seat.

Your problem is coming from the waterpump seal. When the seal goes bad it lets oil from the crankcase into the waterpump and vise versa. The only other problem it could be is the head gasket but you would feel a loss of power.
