After programming my TE-2200 Casio, when I try to register an item I get the error message E026 (Enter Condiment Preparation PLU). How do I get rid of this? I do not need condiment PLUs nor do I want to have to enter another PLU after each item. Please advise ASAP.

  • janieredmon Apr 15, 2008

I keep getting the same advice, (i.e.) read the manual. Also, I received one answer that said to look at the example and the link to the example was not attached. I would not have posted this question if I had not read the manual in its entirety previously. And, yes, there is an error code page, but the only thing it says to do for this error is to enter a "condiment" PLU. Nowhere in the manual does it give you instructions on how to enter a "condiment" PLU. The instructions are for PLUs in general. Also, my cash tendered key is still programmed with an amount that I am unable to get out. Please Help!

    Friend,

I was given the pic of example, It was from your manual. I was just tried to get your attention on the example. You can save it on your computer and then see in full-screen mode. To save right click on the picture and select save picture as..

Anyway can you find any where in your manual, how to reset default settings. Because i think if there is any conflict due to in appropreate value a reset can fix it.

Then after fixing you can try again your programming whatever you need.

Thanks for feed back and gud luck.

    Iqbal

Dear Janieredmon

Right well Im guessing that you should be going to the website of your manufacturer/ vendor of your device and looking under the support/ technical help area of their website, they also have a FAQ (frequently asked questions) area, where common problems are discussed, and help given where possible.

Now the thing that im perplexed about (baffled) is why your model number has come up as a cash register/ tilling system, when you have a problem with a fax machine. Now my sheer advice with regards to this is to go and visit http://www.google.com and bag yourself the service sheets for your device/ till/ fax machine and then evaluate what you have. Typing your manufacturers/ vendors model details followed by the words "user manual" should bag you a few good results. Once you have found the manual, its then best to go to adobe and get a copy of adobe reader as you will need this in order to read the PDF file that the manual will be transported to you using.

Now once you got the manual, and you have read it, dont forget to back it up onto disk so if your computer crashes, at least you still have the manual on disk.

If you get no joy on the internet, get back in touch with me, and i will try to get hold of the manual location and then will send you the correct details of where to get it from. Until then really, there is not a lot I can do about this either unitil i know what it is exactly im dealing with, or i have a model number for your product.

As before, if in doubt, consult your dealer of where you got the product from in the first place, and also go and try to contact the manufacturer/ vendor of the device/ product.

i have a telephone number and URL address of casio to get you started, and this is as follows:

http://www.casio.co.uk/Support/Manuals/

http://www.abl-systems.co.uk/manuals/CASIO_TE2200_USER.pdf

telephone number is available from either http://www.118.com (in the uk) or you can go to http://www.casio.com

I have provided the link for the usermanual to the product number you havbe enquired about (casio te-2200) and the link is above. It must be a good manual, as it even tells you how to remove the cash register from the original packaging.

I hope this is satisfactory to your needs and standards, and look froward to hearing from you soon with regards to this or any other registered matter. (matters either relating to cash registers, home appliances, white goods, electronics, and other consumables.

take care and good luck

Hi,

E026 means that no condiment/preparation PLU is entered.
To fix this error you will have to register the condiment preparation PLU.

Click HERE for the manual to see the troubleshooting steps.

Goodluck,
Please don't forget to rate the solution.

Hi,

Are you sure this is a fax machine?

From the model number, it should be a cash register. Correct?

Hi iwas left the key in pgm mode when trying to do a sale, now I have E026 error and I can't use my till , please help

I'm guessing this is a Casio register in which case you have programmed a condiment to a PLU (item). You need to check your manual in PLU programming and find the codes to set condiment PLU to no or set a zero in that part of programming. if you don't have a programming manual, you could try checkout tech. https://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Casio1.php
They give free help if you get the manual through them so they can point you to the right codes and links in the manual to clear it. hope this helps

This makes no sense. they are all unrelated problems. Did all of these problems suddenly happen when you changed clerk settings? Try logging on as another clerk. They are in totally different areas of programming. I'm getting some information together for these problems. As for the amount limitation problem, do you get the error when you press the item, or only when you try to press CASH at the end of the sale?

Oh right. sorry, the last part of your question was cut off, so I didn't see all of it. It looks like you have accidentally set limitations and preparation status on a PLU.
Firstly, you need to jump out of preparation status. Follow this carefully:

Turn key to PROGRAM mode. (don't worry if error/ beeping) Turn power off at wall. Hold RECEIPT FEED down - keep your finger on it. Turn power on at wall. Wait 5 seconds, then let go of RECEIPT FEED. You should see "FFFFFFFFFF" on display. Press SUBTOTAL and wait for printout. 3 SUBTOTAL (if you see error 8, you need to sign back on) 0 Now press the item button that gave you the error SUBTOTAL
Now go to REG mode and try that PLU (item). If it is doing it on any item or only when you press a payment, let me know

Cassio TE-2200 - Dept Keys

Go to page 72 of the attached link and you will have your answer. It is too lengthy to type here and you need to do some printouts first. So it would be easier for you to print the manual and look at the department PLU and reset them on your own.

The manual can be found and printed from:

If for some reason the link does not take you to the site, copy and paste it into the address line of your browser and hit enter
