Battery replacement. can not get back cover on.

You need two SR1120 or type 391s.

The battery of my Casio 1846 W-71 was dead, so I tried to replace the battery by myself.

First, you need to get a hand on a CR2016 3-volts battery. It could cost you 5$ or 10$, but I got 5 of them for 1.50$ at an electronics discount store...

Get a precision screwdriver, remove the 4 screws. Be careful when you remove the cover, there's a tiny spring. Remember where it is, then remove it. Remove the watch from the shell.

Using a flat mini screwdriver, remove the cover that holds the battery. You'll need to unclip all 4 corners. There are centers to unclip too, not sure if there was 2 or 4 of them.

Remove the battery, place the new one. Clip the battery cover back, and put the watch back in the shell.

I closed the cover. The watch was showing time, buttons were working, but no sound at all. Looked on the Internet, and read that you need to short circuit it.

Look carefully, there is a label "AC" near a small hole. (Inside the hole you'll see the gray spike of a welding). Just touch something metal inside the hole (e.g. the welding spike) and then touch the positive (top) side of the battery. Put the cover back in place, press a button and listen for the beep.

Screw the cover back in place.

To remove the battery from the back of an Oasis watch, you will need a small flathead screwdriver or a coin.

1. Locate the battery cover on the back of the watch. It is typically located at the 6 o'clock position.
2. Insert the screwdriver or coin into the notch on the battery cover.
3. Gently pry the battery cover off of the watch.

Locate the battery compartment and remove the screw holding the cover in place, using the screwdriver. The battery is a small, round silvery button.

Make a note of the battery polarity before you remove it. Is the battery positive (+) side up or negative (-)?

Insert the new battery in the compartment. Replace the battery cover and reverse the above steps to reattach the back cover of your Peugeot watch

Remove the interior sticker that covers the battery by lifting it up with the tip of your screwdriver. It should come off relatively easily. At this point the small circular battery should be visible in the compartment.

Lift up the small metal clip (battery strap) that covers the battery using the tip of your screwdriver.

Remove the battery from its housing and replace it with your new battery (available at any electronics store or online). Reassemble the watch in the same way you to took it apart.

mcdevito75 here, This is a piece of plastic is used betwen the battery and the back cover of the watch as without the plastic there is a small gap between the battery and the back cover, meaning the battery could come loose in the watch even with the back cover on the watch, replace this plastic piece with some carefully folded Scotch Tape, cut and shape the Scotch tape to Approx. the same size and thicknesss of this piece of plastic or just by sight thick enough to keep the battery in place in the watch with the back cover on.

1. Lay the watch upside down on top of a towel or cloth on a flat workspace. Use a small flat head screwdriver or blade to pry under the watch backing, then lift the backing from the watch. Slide the battery cover to the side to access and remove the battery.

2.Take the battery to any electronics store to purchase a replacement. Bringing the old battery will ensure you install the correct type of battery in your Fossil watch.

3. Replace the battery and the battery cover. Apply pressure to the backing until it "pops" back into the watch.

mcdevito75 here, Those 4 screws hold the back onto your Timex. Do not try to pry off the back cover, rather you"ll need jewlers screwdrivers to un--screw that back cover to replace the battery.

do you mean you want to replace the battery for your watch?

This isn't a difficult task to carry out. Simply get a small flat screw driver, use the screw driver to open the back cover of the watch, then you will see the battery of your watch. Remove the battery and replace with a new batter, cover back the watch and that's all.

Note that you will apply force with the screw driver when you are trying to open the back cover of the watch.
