Hi wvrd
you say it wont boot up, but do you actual mean, it wont start up?
are there any lights on when plugged in, are the fans running ect..or does it just appear dead...(no lights or sounds)
there is a difference if its not booting
or it wont power on
if it is starting up, but not booting to windows, post back and we can go from there.
i see some are assuming its booting up but not to windows, but till we know for sure if its not booting or its not powering up, we wont be able to advise you further till you clarify its state!
this could be something as simple as the power adapter if its not powering on.

Most laptops have a P.O.S.T power on self test. Meaning it beeps. You need to listen for the beeps so we can determine where the issue is. Just because a motherboard does not boot up does not mean its dead. There are other diagnosis to consider before calling this dead.
Let us know if you get any beeps and get back with me right away. You could have a dead cmos battery witch will cause boot failure..
Let me know.

In that case the problem is in the motherboard - replace it, nothing more you can do.
