When I load a cd in my Stanton C324 it reads "No

Hello

Clean your CDs before and after playing them. Although the compact disc has a much longer lifespan than does something like a cassette tape, it can be more fragile. Scratches, dust or other damage to the data side of the CD will cause many CD players to fail to read the CD or cause the CD to skip.

Examine the type and format of the compact disc if your CD player fails to read it. Verify that your CD player can read the type of CD and the files contained on it. Just because you've burned a collection of songs to a CD, for example, doesn't mean that your CD player will be able to recognize that information. You must burn CDs in a specially formatted "Audio CD" mode to play them on a CD player, or your CD player must be able to recognize the MP3 file format. Some CD players have limitations on the type of CD they can read. Verify that your CD player can read CD-R, CD+R, CD-RW or CD+RW compact discs.

Update your CD player's driver, if your CD player is a drive connected to your computer. Click "Start" and select "Control Panel." Click on "Hardware and Sound" and select "Device Manager" under "Devices and Printers." Right-click the icon for your CD drive and select "Update driver software." This may solve any issues the drive was having with playing CDs.

Magnavox AZ9855 mini system (7 CD changer), trying to play a cd, the system ejects the CD and message Failed CD is shown. No CD will play.

Hi,when a system eject a CD and with a message "failed CD" It caused by the CD mechanisms that allows the CD to play to damaged that's why the CD keeps on rejecting the CD's being inserted into the CD player.

When you replace the CD mechanism that allow CD to play, problem solved.

Take care.

Blank cd's are not recognized by the Dell Inspiron cd burner

I would first try removing the device in the control panel, system, device manager and then reinstalling the driver. There may be a problem caused by a windows update. In general CD drives rarely go bad. If the CD works say for a music CD then it should work for blank cd. You may also want to check the CD type. If you accidentally used a DVD, that won't work and in some of the older CD drives, they may not handle every type of CD format.

Good Luck

Yes, that's what it looks like. Make sure you put this in the right section next time, though.

Help with copying cds keeps saying that I have wrong format

the machine (pc or cd burner) that you are using is looking for a specific type (either cd-r / cd+r)
look on the front of the pc or cd burner to find what type it uses.
cd + r, cd + rw, cd - r, cd - rw or cd-rom. (+/-) r are for one time burning, (+/-) rw is for rewriting over and over and the rom is for games (playstation).......the + (plus) or - (minus) is very important.

How do you burn a cd on the travelmate 290 ?

Windows XP CD Copy Windows XP has CD-Recordable (CD-R) disc burning support for most CD writers.
8b118c9.gif First set your CD-recording options:
  • Open "My Computer"
  • Right-click your CD-R drive and select "Properties". See figure BK-1.
  • Select the "Recording" tab (if this tab isn't available, your device doesn't support CD burning).
  • Check the box to "Enable CD recording on this drive".
  • Select the drive to hold the temporary files (before the system burns a CD-R disc, the system writes the files to be recorded to an intermediary area - this area must have enough free space to hold an entire CD's content).
  • Select the CD recording speed (Fastest, 4X, 2X, and 1X).
  • Select whether to eject the media after recording.
  • Click OK.

Perform the following steps to record to a CD-R:
  • Insert a blank CD-R disc into your CD burner.
  • Copy or drag the files or folders to be recorded to the CD-R drive, or right-click on the files or folders and select Send To, Writable CD.
7f66e80.jpg
  • After you have copied all the files, select the CD-R drive from "My Computer" and you'll see the waiting files as "Files to add to the CD."
  • Right-click the CD-R drive, and select Write to CD.
  • Enter a name for the CD-R disc, and click Next.
  • The files will be written to the CD-R disc.
  • After the system writes all the files, it will eject the CD-R disc (if you chose that option above).
  • Click Finish.
