Tip & How-To about Sprint Vision PPC-6700 Smartphone

SLIDE TO UNLOCK BATTERY SAVER

One of the annoying things I found as a 6700 owner is that I was always pocket calling people and that my battery had a very short life. my battery used to only last from 7am to 1pm before I had to change the battery or or plug inmy phone (PHONE ON A WIRE? this defeats the wireless phone theory). Now I can get a full day sometimes 2 days out of my battery because all the buttons are disabled from turning on the screen and the only button that turns on the screen is the top power button which shows the slide to unlock screen. when you have a incoming call the screen will offer you to slide to answer if you set it up with the easy to use settings that will be located in your programs folder after setup. the instructions for setting up this program are easy to follow at the download page.

Solution: Download and install this awesome app called slide to unlock.
It will save your battery if you set the settings to:

  1. lock when device wakes up to ON
  2. lock when back-light turns off to ON
  3. Power off in 30seconds
  4. but blank screen only OFF
  5. blank screen on talk I prefer OFF because you may need to look at something when talking. but you may squeeze more life out of your battery if you select on.
S2U2 is a simple lock/unlock application which has the iPhone style slide unlocking. It can be used as a screen saver while you don't use your device. And it has a CallerID function.

Pocke pc keeps resetting

I have 2 camcorder batteries that are totally dead. No matter how long I leave them plugged in, they aren't coming back to life.
Everything has a life span and it looks like your battery has reached the end of its life. If the e405 works on AC but not battery, then I have to suspect the batteries are now duds.
Time to go shopping on ebay!

Touch screen issues

i recomend either a flip cover(if available) or a thick screen protector that lowers sensitivity.
