The electronics in that channel are failing, the intermittent scratchy sound is classic symptoms of internal transistors failing in manner called 'thermal runaway'. If I am right it probably works better when its cold and gets worse as it warms up, and when you turn up the volume. It will be cheaper to replace the appliance than repair it. you phone's space is taking a lot, you should delete some files so you could play the whole video.

hi it happens to me aswell if the songs are on your memory card take it out close the music player and put the card back in. if the songs are on the phone turn it off then back on =] hope this helps
