Not to sound dumb...but there is a slide up and down button with a lock on it on the side...you should be able to slide that button away from the lock position and unlock it that way...Hope it helps
mine doeshave a slide button but everytime i try either direction it still says its locked...
It could be that the tab on the motherboard is stuck and will not move back to the "not locked" position... If you have access to hardware screwdrivers, take out the screw that is on top of the usb port and from there you will have to pry the cover off. I used my fingernails and did it carefully. The screen is connected with a data cable and is not to be removed. From there on the side with the headphone jack you can see the white tab sticking off of the motherboard. Looking at it from the headphone jack side the slider is white. If it is moved to the right it is in the "locked" position. You can move it to the left and this should unlock the keys. You might look to see if the slider is soldered on on the four corners while you are there. If it is not connected to the motherboard it might automatically lock the keys so you would know something is wrong. Hope this helps. =)

SOURCE: I have a TH1702-A RCA MP3 player and when I turn
Hello,
Taking out and replacing the battery might help, mostly.
There's also a trouble shoot page:

When needing the manual look here:

I'd appreciate your vote if this helped.

Hi lauriankilla...
Sounds like your RCA Pearl is full and it is asking you to delete some of the music/files that you have on it before you can add any more music/files.
If you want an easy way to delete the files then follow the instructions below
