My Toshiba Satellite Pro A200 is requesting a BIOS Password which I dont know is there a way to bypass? or even find out the Password
Hi,
for removing the password,
you have to open the memory cover and remove the two RAM s,
after that remove a black or whit plastic film depending on your model, you will loacte for B500 marqued ( XXX ) or J1 you have at least short
the two point with a flat screwdriver and put the upper memory and power on the laptop will holding the screew driver till you see the toshiba screen, if it doen't work just try again. it works 100%
It works on Toshiba A200-1S9 . This jumper J1 is under plastic cover under memory.
Looks like not a normal jumper , but like letter ,,w''.
Big thanks to you laptopware. Greetings from Poland.
It s a pleasure for me, to help people, Thanks guys.
i did exactly like you said to sort the *** jumper and now the laptop does not display anything. Was this the correct solution? What do i do now?
Normally it works , try this first to get the display, 1 remove power plug and battery and RAM s, 2 push for aboput 15 seconds the power button, 3 put back one RAM i prefer you to put it on the lower slot, plug the power plug , switch on the laptop, if it doesn t display , power off and change the the RAM in the upper slot and try gain, let me know Simo,
thanks buddy! got the display working again after following you. but the bios password prompt still comes up. i can try reset the jumper again...
tried doing the same to reset bios password but it keeps shutting off my display i had to do same again. i dont think it will works on my toshiba satellite pro a200.
Before doing this prodecedure don t forget to remove the battery, only power ac adapter i m sure that it will work even with your A200 pro
By the way i want to know what happen if you 3 attemts wrong password, is it shuttining down the laptop or giving you a small blue box with a code
