starting problem ,takes 4-5 times turning over engine then blue smoke comes out of exhaust ,is very reliable when got started though - ive replaced battery/glowplugs-&-relay/ a recovery man says no power to glowplugs ? can you advise ?
It's one of two things. My first thought is that you have a clogged gas cap. Try loosening it when the mower starts to run ruff. If it smooths out again and runs fine, then you know that the carburetor is not venting properly. Either buy a new gas cap or clear the breathing holes in the cap, if possible.
The only other thing it can be is that your Ignition Coil is going bad. A bad Coil, once it gets hot, will shut down. But it usually takes longer than 5 minutes for them to cool down well enough to start back up.
Had a similar issue with my dewalt 4200 pw. Unit starting shutting off after spraying for about 5 min. Then difficult to restart, but would start again eventually only to shut down a few min later. Had new engine oil, new pump oil, good gas. I changed the spark plug and unit runs great again!
a very common problem with these cars is the crankshaft position sensor. also camshaft position sensor. they will make the car do exactly what you described. let me know what you find
