I love my Cuisinart 10 cup coffee maker, but I hate my pot. Every time I pour a cup of coffee the pot leaks. I have tried removing the lid and the pot still leaks. Please help I am getting tired of...

Be careful! The top will soon disconnect from the bottom! I've had the same problem for the last few months. This morning (11/19/10) the top of the pot seperated when I poured a cup of coffee and half a pot of piping hot coffee spilled down my right leg. I'm on hold with their customer service department as I type this. Has anybody else had the same issue?

Regards,
Harry B.

Filter cone is full of hot water & thermo pot has about 5 - 6 cup

Te water fill lid is not closed or or the flow valve in the tank is plugged. Remove the basket and clear the hole in the bottom of it.. If new, return it to place of purchase.

Espresso irregularly spurts out the center post

It IS the gasket!!!!! Store the pot with the two parts screwed TIGHTLY together for about a week. Tighten it up as the new gasket compresses. Problem solved in two weeks or less. Funnel had NOTHING to do with my problem. Also cook on medium to low heat. High flame seems to make the problem worse.

How to make coffee with 101-cup percolator urn (Regalware)?

Simply fill with COLD water to the number of cups desired.
Place the stem and basket in the pot and put one 8 oz cup of coffee for every 20 cups of water into the basket...when doing 100 cups I add an extra 12 oz of coffee for a good coffee flavor.
Place the perforated lid on the coffee basket that is in the pot (if there is a lid--some do not have a lid). Put the cover for the coffee pot in place.
Plug in.
Turn on if there is a switch.
Give these large pots about 1 minute per cup, brewing time...that is a little over an hour usually to brew 100 cups. The coffee maker will percolate with the water coming up through the stem and over the coffee as the water heats. Usually there is an indicator light that comes on when it is finished.

If holding the coffee for awhile, it tastes best if you remove the stem and basket and it will maintain the heat without doing more "perking" and becoming stronger or bitter.

Be sure to wash it out and dry it well, leaving the lid loose or upside down for storage so that the pot doesn't become pitted. Blessings, Louise

Revere Ware old fashioned coffee pot

1) Boil the water you’ll need in another pot.
2) Put 1 tablespoon of ground coffee (drip grind, not percolator grind) in the reduced diameter, perforated bottom of the brewing chamber.
3) Put the grind/water separator (the perforated, flat handled plate with cup markings on the handle) in the Brewing Chamber, over the coffee grounds.
3) Put the Brewing Chamber on top of the Holding Chamber.
4) Pour the appropriate number of cups boiling water into the brewing chamber; put the lid with the black knob on the brewing chamber.
5) Let the water drain through the coffee grinds (5-10 minutes).
6) Remove Brewing Chamber, clean out the coffee grounds, and replace the lid on the holding chamber.
7) Enjoy your coffee! Keep it warm on the stove at LOW heat setting.

More Steam Less Coffee

I had same problem after 4 months. very slow brew time, 10 cups of water poured in made about 6 cups of coffee. I used a packaged coffee pot cleaner powder and this fixed the problem (for now).

Replacement Coffee pot

I have the same problem with my coffee maker, but I purchased mine in Walgreens more than a year. In Walgreens it has a different name (Signature Classics), but I'm sure its exaclty the same as the Haier HDC10LBS. I called and they do have replacements. The model#XQ698LT ITEM#W14A7123 and the Customer Service Phone#1 800 645 3869. The cost should be around $10 with Shipping and handling
