Whirlpool gold side by side fridge. Ice maker is not making ice, however water is still dispensing from door. There is a red light blinking inside the freezer door next to the on off switch for the ice maker. Bucket is in place inside door and ice maker is turned on. Appliance is 5 years old.
No water in the ice maker and not sure how to make it cylce to see if water is running
"if it is turned on and the paddel is depressed and the light is still blinking the you need a beam kit part number 4389102"
Tried this but my light stayed on... yet I can't get ice to make... I've unplugged the refrigerator to see if it's possibly frozen up or something. Any other suggestions?
Hi... Solution one post may have helped. I kinda reached around the Ice Maker looking for cube that may be obstructing and toggled the ice maker switch a few times. And behold... .the IM dumped a few cubes and I heard the water fill the IM.
So we'll see how long that lasts.
Cheers,
David
If you keep your hands out of the little beam slot on the paddel that is located on the left of the freezer and push it in the beam should shoot across to the reciever on the right and the light should stay on constant, that is if you have the switch on the right side turned on.

everything is in place like it should be and even added a new soilnod valve just to make sure ---- still no ice and even no water to the maker
The problem I have is with a Kenmore side by side refrigerator. There is a red blinking light next to the ice maker. When the guard (on the left side) is pushed in, the light will stay on and stop blinking. I think this is a water issue to the ice maker.
ARS266ZBC can this be snapped into place from inside the freezer door?
got a Westinghouse WSE 6970 old style with ice maker in the freezer compartment.
Have to remove the doors because kitchen door is only 70cm wide.
Complicated ? what about the freezer door including the electric connection to the control panel in the door?
