I need a picture of wiring diagram for volume an tone knobs for a washburn lyon LI15. 4 knobs.

I would imagine it to be similar to this. this is standard wiring for your situation. although you may not have these exact pick-ups. the wiring remains the same. Good luck

I have picked up a washburn lyon series electric guitar s/n 5062530 stamped on the neck plate what year is it and where is it made

It's probably 1995 Washburn Lyon WE3, the pickup configuration is two single coil pickups. It would be easier to tell if there was a photo available.

Lyon by Washburn guitar has severe feedback until we short it out buy running a wire from the plug in port to the chrome bracket that the strings sit on, I believe that there is a ground wire off as there...

It sounds like the grounding/earth wire is off the output socket as you already seem to believe yourself. Depending on the model either take off the back control cover panel or the scratchplate/pickguard and look for a loose wire running from the back of one of the pot cases and connect this back onto the screen connection of the jack socket.

I have a washburn WI 14 guitar and trying to change pickups. the old one is two wire. white and bare. the new one have like 5 wires. anyone replace the pickups in their wI 14?

This is the way most aftermarket pickups are set up. Its to accommodate different wiring setups like coil splitting.

Whether the pickup is a Duncan or not does not make a difference. Make sure you solder the red and white wires together(the ones together in the diagram) and cover the joint with heat shrink or electrical tape.
