Hello, the F1 and the beeping sound is as a result of the Electronic oven Control Failure (EOC), and you need to replace the electronic oven control also called the EOC or clock.

Most of the answers are correct, the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) is either damaged or shorted. I've also seen the F1 code come up on the version 2 and 3 units when the temperature probe was shorted. But most likely your EOC is damaged and needs to be replaced. Since you didn't give us a model number we can't give you any more info. Good luck
Gain access to the back of the
clock (electronic range
control or ERC).
Unplug the touch pad ribbon
connector from the ERC. This
will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
Make sure everything is clear
and will not short out when
power is turned back on.
Turn power back on to stove.
Watch for the F1 and listen for
the beep.
If you get the F1 and beep,
replace the
ERC.
If after approx. 30 minutes you
do NOT get the F1 and hear
the beep, replace the touch pad.
NOTE: Some models incorporate the touch pad and the clock as one
part. *

ranges with a F1 fault code and the problem was the oven temp
sensor, check
carefully the wires to and from the oven temp sensor!!

Hello with the limited information and no make or model I can only give a generic response to this one. Most manufacturers F1 code indicates a bad control board (EOC) and or a bad touch-pad. If you have any other questions please feel free to comment. Mike
I have a F1 code on my Frigidaire convection oven and a really cool beeping sound to go with it. I turned the breaker off and turned back on---doing the same thing...????????

In most cases an F1 error would require replacment of the electronic control. This part is commonly refered to as an EOC or ERC. However this type of repair is usually reserved for repair specialists.

the F1 code usually means that you have a key stuck on the keypad. unplugging it from power won't make a difference for this one. is it a wall oven or a stove? can you supply the make & model please?
