How do i use the Stanley XP180 laser level - Stanley Proto Stanley xp180 Cross Line Laser Level

I know it's 3 years old this question but I had the same problem. Good thing is the makita battery willl fit. I just got one from ebay works great

It is a good laser, but it is self leveling so you will have trouble setting it on the floor and be able to title it. It will probably go into error mode and the laser will flash telling you that it isn't level.

Suggest a step ladder that is about the right height.

Yes but i don't recommend it the light has to be perfect, in order to see the beam.

to calibrate you need to have an area 75 to 100 feet in distance. place laser on tripod 20 feet from one end, take measurements on short and long end, then move laser to center of range and take measurements on both ends . the distance between both sets of marks should be within + or - 1/4 inch if not move level screw to move beam to center then center bubble
