Press the menu key but do not hold it. That will take you to the FM tuner options. Your radio does not have the capability to receive FM stations, the FM is only used as a transmitter.

As far as I know, there is no transmitter in a Sirius Radio. I had an XM, and there was no selection for fm stations. They just figure you can tune the car radio to any fm station, in case you want to listen to fm. Hope this helps, but refer to your manual for details about what the unit can do.

How to add an iPod Input into a Stock Radio?

You can add an iPod to a stock radio in your car, even if the plant does not have an auxiliary input or iPod input using a specific number of iPod car accessories. One such accessory is a cassette adapter that plugs into your iPod as a headset, but ends on a cassette tape to your stock cassette radio. However, not all cars have cassette players, thus more accessible to the FM transmitter.

1. Connect your iPod to an FM transmitter, if you connect headphones to the iPod.

2. Connect the FM transmitter to your cigarette lighter to power and then to the transmitter.

3. Press up and down on the transmitter to the FM transmitter to change, you will pass the signal to your radio. Choose a station that is not a radio station on it so you do not interrupt the signal.

4. Set your stock radio to the channel you selected on your transmitter and then play the songs on your iPod. You will see the songs on your iPod through the radio station you selected.
My roady xt does not have a fm select option on the menu

You need to have it in the AUTO base/cradle - AND - you cannot have anything plugged into the LINE OUT or AUX OUT jack, as it will disable the FM transmitter. Try unplugging the audio output, then you'll be able to select the FM transmitter again. I believe that they removed the option from the HOME cradle/dock all together because of regular AM/FM radio stations complaining to the FCC that the transmitters were too strong (in other words, they wanted to hurt satellite radio competition or slow it down as much as possible by forcing Sirius and XM go back and redesign their radios for a much weaker or NO FM transmitter).

I installed the FM transmitter module which came with my samsung LCD TV model LA40C530F 1R. I tried accessing the FM transmitter menu in order to turn the transmitter On and to set the frequency but that...

1. Press the menu button(green)
2. down arrow once - (a picture of a speaker should appear with sound written vertically next to it)
3. Right arrow once (selects the sound menu)
4. Down arrow till you see FM transmitter (down arrow 4 times on my TV. If you don't see the FM transmitter option in the menu then upgrade your TV to the latest software (details at the end of this help file)
5. Right arrow to get into the FM transmitter menu
6. select the "FM transmitter: off" line and turn it on (FM transmitter : on)
7. Change the frequency to to one that is not used by a radio station or has interference noise (get a radio and tune it till you hear the choosh sound with no beeping or clicking from lightning - then set the tv fm transmitter to that frequency using the up and down arrow keys and enter.
8. You should here your tv sound comming through the radio even if the tv sound is off.

If you need to upgrade your tv software then:
1. format a usb stick
2. download firmware.exe from"
http://www.samsung.com/za/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/lcd-tv/LA32C530F1RXXA/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=support
3. click on firmware
4. click on "Upgrade File(USB type)" and download it to your usb stick
5. when the download is complete double click on the file and extract it to the usb stick.
6. eject the usb stick.
7. plug it into your TV and slelect software upgrade when prompted - I didn't loose any settings even though it warns you that you will (samsung are just covering themselves)

Everything works fine on the unit no problem until

3. If your Nuvi has a FM transmitter, is it selected to "FM" or "Speaker"? The "FM" setting will mute the internal speaker. Setting it to "Speaker" will send sound to the speaker.

if this side of it works then the FM transmitter is faulty

Check that the sound has not been MUTED

plug the earphone into the socket to see if any sound is heard. The socket is also a switch that takes sound from internal speaker to ephone and reverse.
If no sound is hear in either FM or normal mode your unit is faulty and needs repair

My Nuvi 750 has stopped talking, still shows the map but no voice

That has happened to me several times. When it happens I go to Tools > Settings > Language. In my case, the Voice field is empty, so I click on the Voice field and then select American English-Jill (TTS) and it's okay afterwards.

STATIC/INTERFERENCE

&R=11812445&C=17577363&K=NBy0rr?h=2mv3s7&r=11812445 Your SIRIUS radio contains an FM transmitter that allows it to operate wirelessly through your car FM radio. We have determined that the output of this transmitter exceeds the limits established by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). As a result, the unit may interfere with the performance of radios operating in areas adjacent to your radio. There are no health or safety concerns associated with this issue.
 • If you listen to your SIRIUS radio wirelessly through your vehicle's FM radio, then please review the solutions listed below and select the one that works best for you. SIRIUS will provide you the best solution at no cost.
 • If you use your SIRIUS radio only when docked in a boombox, or directly connected to your car radio or home stereo using audio cables or a cassette tape adapter, then no interference can occur and no further action is required, provided you have turned off your FM transmitter. To turn off the FM transmitter, first press the MENU button. Use the channel up/down buttons to highlight “FM Transmitter” and push the SELECT button. Use the channel up/down buttons to highlight the "FM On/Off" menu item and then press the SELECT button. Use the up/down buttons to highlight "FM Off" and press the SELECT button. To exit the "FM On/Off" menu, press the MENU button. Use the same procedure to turn off the FM transmitter if you use Solution 1 or Solution 2 below..
Solution 1 - Direct Wired Audio Connection: If your vehicle radio has a “LINE IN” or “AUX IN” jack, you can use a stereo cable to connect directly to your SIRIUS radio. This solution is the easiest to install and provides the best audio performance. Many newer vehicles provide the required audio input jack. It will normally be found on or near the front faceplate of your vehicle’s radio.

Solution 2 - Cassette Tape Adapter
: If your vehicle has a cassette tape player, you can use a cassette adapter that allows you to play your SIRIUS radio through the cassette portion of your vehicle radio. The adapter slips into your vehicle radio as easily as a cassette tape and provides better performance than a wireless connection. fcc_a_2.jpg

Solution 3 - FM Extender Cable Kit: An FM extender cable will provide a special transmitter antenna that allows you to obtain the best audio performance through your vehicle’s FM radio. This solution is easy to self-install, but does require that an easy-to-hide wire be run in your vehicle so the transmitter antenna can be placed in close proximity to your vehicle’s radio antenna. Using this FM Extender Cable Kit, you will continue to use your SIRIUS radio exactly the same way as you do currently. fcc_a_3.jpg

Solution 4 - FM Direct Adapter with Professional Installation: An FM Direct Adapter provides a wired connection between your SIRIUS radio and your vehicle’s radio. You will continue to listen to your SIRIUS radio through the FM tuner of your car radio, but the FM Direct Adapter eliminates the outside static and interference you sometimes experience when using a wireless FM connection. This solution usually requires professional installation. We will provide a certificate redeemable for installation at an installation center in your area.

Please go to www.sirius.com/optimize and select the solution that works best for you. If you have any questions, please call 1-(877) 635-5130. Detailed instructions will be included with your solution.
You will improve the performance of your SIRIUS radio and reduce the potential for interfering with adjacent radios if you properly tune your FM transmitter. Please see the FM Transmitter Set-Up Tips below for more information.
We are sorry for this inconvenience. We are confident these solutions will allow you to continue to enjoy the great music, news, sports and entertainment that only SIRIUS Satellite Radio can offer with no impact on your radio’s performance.
Sincerely,

SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO

FM Transmitter Set-Up Tips

To tune your FM transmitter turn off your SIRIUS radio and tune through the FM channels on your vehicle’s radio to locate an FM channel (except 87.7/87.9) that is not broadcasting in your area. If you use an FM channel that is being used by a local broadcaster, it will interfere with the performance of your SIRIUS radio. Once you have located an FM channel that is not being used for broadcasting in your area, save it as a preset on your vehicle radio. This will become your SIRIUS preset. If you’re not sure which FM channels are not being used in your home or travel cities, you can go to www.sirius.com/fmchannel and search for an FM channel based on zip code.
Turn on your SIRIUS radio. In the SETTINGS or MENU on your SIRIUS radio, locate the “FM Frequency” adjustments. Set the channel number on your SIRIUS radio to match the SIRIUS preset on your vehicle radio. Refer to your user guide for detailed instructions on how to do this. The FM transmitter in your SIRIUS radio is automatically set to FM channel 88.1. This may not be the best channel in your area.

Using my car speakers with my Garmin Nuvi 350

No, unfortunately ther is no way to get the unit to use your car speakers. To do this, the unit would have to have an FM transmitter or be able to connect to one. It does not have this capability. Sorry.
