My webcam device missing in device manager.i download a webcam software driver (cyberlink you cam) and installed it but system still not find the device.what should i do?thanks.

This is common problem in lap tops , cyber link you cam device don't work some time.


For troubleshooting-


Step-1 Check out the Device Manager>Imaging Devices(Is there webcam available?)

If webcam in not available in drown link the its mean you missed the driver.

Where you will find Application to run your video Cyber-Link You-Cam Device?

Step 2- If not the search the Installation Disks for Media Smart or Download driver for cyber-cam for your device Model.


Tip- You can check your device by running Skype On your Computer System,

IF the webcam is not working... please uninstall the software from Programs and features under control panel .... restart the pc if required and then once the desktop screen comes back up .... type Recovery Manager under Start Serach after you click on Start... or Start- All programs- PC Help and Tools- Recovery Manager.... click on the Advance options.. Reinstall Hardware Software ... look for Cyberlink Cam2.0... select and reinstall the software and restart your pc if it does not work ... uninstall the software and download it from www.hp.com

go to the manufactor of the web cam websit and download the drivers.

download driver from www. logitech.com (download/support)

maybe the webcam driver is not installed or the webcam is not configured in msn check if the webcam is properly installed in device manager if there's a question mark around the webcam icon the webcam must be installed properly
