Since I have my new computer and have downloaded the Windows 7 driver, when my printer prints, after each page it kicks out a blank page. Any suggestions...thanks.

According to the information available on the manufacturer's support website, U-Print CDP78 works with Windows XP and later operating systems.

You can download the Windows 7 64-bit compatible driver from the driver download page by clicking this link.

On the page which opens, download the "U-Print Label Printer Driver" in .zip format from the PC Driver/Software Download section.

This could be a driver issue. Try to uninstall the driver this way, refer to this article: How to Uninstall Lexmark Printers. Reboot pc when prompted. When your computer turns on, check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit System Type. Go to Start menu -> right-click on Computer -> Properties. Take note of the System Type.
Download and re-install the driver using the links below: - Lexmark X4650 driver for Windows 7 32-bit - Lexmark X4650 driver for Windows 7 64-bit
Execute the file and follow the instructions on your computer screen.

Disconnect the USB cable from the back of the printer. Uninstall the software of this printer. Then after uninstalling it now re-start the computer. After your computer starts completely then just connect the USB cable from your computer to your printer and windows 7 will install basic drivers for your printer, print a page and it will print the documents.

It could be a software issue. Try to uninstall the existing Lexmark Pro901 driver from your desktop pc by going to Start menu -> Programs -> Lexmark -> Pro900 Series -> Uninstall Lexmark Pro900 Series. Reboot pc when prompted.
Now, check your Windows 7 if it's running on 32-bit or 64-bit by going to the Start menu -> right-click on Computer -> Properties. Take note of the System Type.
To reinstall, download the Lexmark Pro900 Series driver using the links below: - Lexmark Pro901 driver for Windows 7 32-bit - Lexmark Pro901 driver for Windows 7 64-bit
Download, execute the file and follow the instructions on the software.

drop kick unit across room:)))) sorry just kidding I had the same problem with mine. If the computer is continually printing that means the printer is receiving print orders from your computer. Best thing is just disconnect the printer from the computer and turn the computer off and wait 30 seconds then turn on . This should clear the print cache then reconnect the printer. Make sure to only request one print at at a time.
if the printer continues to print blank pages check to see if you have the latest software driver for the printer installed on your computer. You can do this by going to the manufactures website and download the software its easy to do just follow the prompts and install! Hope this helpful!!!

Print a 'Configuration Page' from the printers <Information Menu>

Press the green tick button to enter the menus, and use the <, > arrows to scroll thru menus.
Then press the green tick button to select...

If, as I suspect, your Configuration Page is in colour, and looking ok - the the problem is in your computer - Printer Driver setup, or Windows......

I undertand that you are receiving a blank page when printing from computer.

Please follow the below given instructions to get the issue resolved which is caused due to DEP feature of Operating sytem.

Disable the Data Execution Prevention in Windows XP and check by following the below steps:

1. Click on Start

2.Control Panel->System->Advanced->Performance->Settings->Data Execution Prevention

It needs to be set to "Turn on for essential windows programs only", which is the default.


If you set it to "Turn on for all programs except those I specify", then the all-in-one driver stops working and you get blank pages.

1) Right-click on My Computer, and select Properties.

2) Click on the Advanced tab.

3) Under Performance, click Settings.

4) Click the Data Execution Prevention tab.

5) Select the Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select: option.

6) Click Add....

7) Browse to C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\hpzeng05.exe
Or
C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\hpzeng07.exe

and click Open.

8) Click Apply.

9) Click OK, and OK again.

Then restart the computer so as the chages to be effective
