That's a setting within the PBX system. See if you can find your user manual, or contact a business telecom company to see if they can provide you a copy.

Calls are forwarded to different extensions and phone number according to the rules you set with your telephone company. Check your preset answering rule as well as call forwarding rule.Ask assistance from your phone provider in doing so.

I need to extend the length of time my phone rings on incoming calls

Hello, Mary -

I checked the user manual for your Alcatel 3003G cell phone:
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1150047/Alcatel-Tribe-3003g.html?page=1#manual

I did not find any information regarding increasing the length of time of rings of incoming calls in the manual. So, I thought the incoming rings length of time may be dependent upon your cell phone service provider, Vodafone.

I found some information on a Vodafone Support page:
https://support.vodafone.co.uk/
How to increase the time before a call goes to voicemail?
(Quote)
Your Vodafone mobile is set to ring for 15 seconds before going to voicemail. You can change how long it rings for, choosing from 5 to 30 seconds in 5-second intervals.

To choose your desired ringing time:
  • Enter **61*121*11* on your Vodafone mobile
  • Choose the number of seconds you'd like your phone to ring for, followed by #
  • Press Call
  • A confirmation message will pop up on your screen with your new ring time
For example, if you want to set your Vodafone mobile to ring for 25 seconds, you enter **61*121*11*25#, and press Call. When the message pops up, you'll know it's all done.

Watch this simple video to find out how to increase the time before a call goes to voicemail.

Best wishes.

Why not display incoming calls

Is your display on your phone working, and its just that the incoming calls notification is not working when you recieve calls? Have you tried a hard reset? (battery pull)
If your phones display is functioning, then more then likely it has to do with your settings of your phone. A long time ago with a older phone I had, I accidentally some how turned off my phones incoming calls notification. I was able to remedy this, but calling the phone company and they walked me through how to go into my phones settings and turn the incoming calls notifications back on. I would try this if you cant find it under your phones settings to turn the incoming calls notifications back on. Hope this helps. ;)

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

Well if that's the case, the printer should be detached or powered of during call operations. The printer detects incoming calls that's why it triggers it to operate. Turning it off during operation will surely be the solution.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Droid X phone won't ring for incoming calls.

Found on Motorola Support:

1. Make sure that the "Smart Profile: Face Down" feature is enabled.
2. Hold the phone face up in your palm.
3. Call your Droid X from another phone.
4. As the phone is vibrating, DO NOT ANSWER.
5. Still holding the phone, flip the phone face down as it vibrates.
6. Still holding it face down, hit your volume key to silence the phone.
7. Flip the phone back over so it's face up. You should feel a quick vibrating jolt indicating the ringer is back on.
8. End the call. It shouldn't matter which phone you end the call from, as feeling the jolt is the key.
9. Leave phone face up and call yourself again. If the ringer is now working again, turn OFF "Smart Profile: Face Down" until there's a true fix.
10. If it does not work initially, try all of the steps again a few more times and hope you get lucky.

On the intercom, if it's a TA or similar phone system, dial 7311# for call waiting on outside lines and 7321# for call waiting on the intercom. (0 cancels).

Incoming Call not Ringing

Either call line 3 first, or make your phone ring :-)

What might be the easiest is to swap modular plugs in the back room between 2 and 5. That way, you get your old extension back and everything will work as it did.

If you can't do that, then you're going to have to do some system programming to turn on the ringing on your phone. If you have a TA series system, you should be able to do it from either the PC or a phone connected to jack $1. If you have another model, you should have a system manual on how do make programming changes.
