My name is satish ( i stay in india ),I have Black Berry Curve 8300 from at&t. My brother has sent me this mobile from US, but it is not working here when i inserted my SIM.....

It's a clear and fully detailed guide on how to unlock a BlackBerry curve 8300:
1. Insert any sim card
2. Turn off all of the wireless connections
3. Go to Options
4. Select Advanced Options
5. Select SIM Card
6. Hit menu select show keyboard (if your BlackBerry have touchscreen)
7. Type MEPD ( you will not be able to see what you are typing )
8. Type MEP2 or MEP4 ( you will not be able to see what you are typing )
9. Now the phone will prompt you to enter the mep code
10. if you not already have the code, then i suggest BlackBerryMEP.COM to get it from .
11. Enter the mep code ( you should see "code accepted" )
12. Restart your BlackBerry .

Hey guys I just unlocked my BlackBerry Curve 3G form unlockgenie.com (http://unlockgenie.com/) I got the code very quick and it worked without any trouble. I like to share the instructions to all which came along with the unlock/MEP code hoping that this might help someone to unlock their phone.

1. Go to settings
2. Go to options
3. Go to advanced options

6. Does it say Network active? If so your phone is locked

9. Your phone is now unlocked
Simple. take the battery out having the blackberry on. take it out for 3 seconds then put batt back in
wait 8 seconds and turn it on then the code is erased. then if your asked for a pwd use
0000 or 1101 there you go.
