Lost directions on how to use jet clean system. Do not know how to use it.

Hey Jesse, Have you done any port work or other modifications..like aftermarket pipe?? IF NOT.. GO BACK TO STOCK JETTING.. ( I am a factory Yamaha tech)..make sure the air filter is clean or new.. The carb pilot system (low speed) must be absolutely clean.. there are many tiny passages that must be clean!! If you are not 110 % sure positive you have done the cleaning perfectly.. take it to a qualified pro... Have you actually tried turning the idle screw in to raise the idle..
What kind of NEW ENGINE do you have.. If this is a new "racing engine".. you need the assistance of a professional that KNOWS how to jet an engine...no one can "just tell" you what jets to use!!! reply on here to me.. let me know whats happening..

It seem you got problem AFR while engage the throtle. If your AFR is too rich you smell the on your tailpipe. While too lean you just feel the lost of power only. If there is no problem with air filter, the culprit will be the fuel or ignition. But I suspect is the fuel line. Just check the fuel filter, pump, jetting system on your carb. In your carb pay spaecial attention on your MAIN jet ( as this nozzle has the main role while you engage the throttle). Just go clean your jetting system with carb cleaner /sprayer ( like prestone brand etc.)

As i understand, all VTi´s had injected engines, but in case your particular model is carburated, my advice is: Take it to have it cleaned by a mechanic that knows carburetors. Have in mind that carburetors have a myriad of screws, jets and wires that might get lost or switched during reassembly. Furthermore, the jets, butterfly openings, floats and other devices require detailed, minute adjustments for proper functioning. All those adjustments are lost when disassembled for cleaning. Also, some rubber / plastic parts and seals will not withstand the acid bath, so a new kit must be included as well.

Assuming this spa is equipped with the single pump system and the rest of the jets are functioning as expected, you need to check to see if the jets that are not working are closed or shut off. Most jets can be opened and closed by gripping the outer ring of the jet face and rotating in either direction. If the jet has sand or gritty debris inside, the jet assembly may not turn easily and will likely need to be taken apart and cleaned. Most jets can be rotated counter-clockwise beyond a detent and pop out. Others require unscrewing completely or by releasing an internal latch to remove. The jet could also be stopped up with debris, preventing the jet from working.

Taking it apart and cleaning it will likely resolve your non-operational issues.

The solution should not be deluted. You should fill the basin to the 'fill line' with the Jet Clean solution.

If you do not know where th fill line is on your cleaning station, refer to your user manual. I would offer a link to the user manual but you did not state the specific model number of your shaver/

You can adjust the jets by moving the center of the jet around, if the center does not move, it is not adjustable, some jets have a pressure adjustment by twisting the center of the jet left to right. No manual necessary for this.

I had a similar problem and as a last resort took the pump apart and cleaned it and the jet. It's a very old pump but works ok now.

Hi, it may be worth your while looking at e-bay to see if anybody is selling a broken shaver with all the bits still working, You can usually pick things up that way, plus, they are often Very cheap! Best of luck, Nick.
