If the top plate is just hovering and you cannot adjust it out. For a while you may have to push the top plate down and engage the selector pin and with use the cable will stretch on its own with usage. Since these are a series of cables it would be difficult to pinpoint which cable is causing this problem. If you want to remedy this call Body Solid and have them send you a new set of cables.

Weider 8900 home gym - burn cable won't reach weight selector

I am having the same issue with the 8900 model hight cable, it at least a full inch short. It is routed correctly, according to the diagram in the build instructions. I have to force the top weight down to slide the pin into the weights below the top weight. I am leaving weight tension on the cable in hopes that the cable will "stretch" to fit at some point. I'm not super confident in this, but it seems to be my only choice, other than order a new cable, hoping that it will be an inch longer.

Hi the weight plates get struck when i am doing workout when I put on 2 weight plate and when I do heavier weight it feel i like not smooth. I notice that the weight plate is little side way when I pull...

I would the entire sequence of pulleys that lead from the lat/chest press cable to the weight stack itself to see if any of the pulley are dragging or the cable is snared. Another thing I would look for is that top plate selector pole is straight . I would loosen the allen bolt 8mm put the selector pin in one lower plate holes then tighten the bolt. If that solve the problem I take the weight stack apart and inspect the bushing for burrs that may be causing the drag.

I need to move my body solid G4I to another room, What is the best what to disassemble and move it ?

If you have top clearance you can find 1/2' conduit pipe (elec.) cut 4' you need three. Put on floor in front of piece lift just enough to place pipe1 under as far as you can to take weight and roll on -place next pipe and so on. Be careful of you fingers! You can steer it if you get good at it.
