My black and decker ka88 belt does not rotate

Have you checked that the toothed belt that runs from the motor to the sanding drive pulley is OK. If this breaks the sander wont work.

Asko T701 stopped running.

Test the wirings to control panel and the switch.
Try also a different outlet, and eventually check with a tester the power cord.
Also the switch must be tested.
If the wirings are ok then the whole control panel can be replaced.

If you want to buy parts you find them here.

Oscillator is not rotating

make this test and fix it. God bless you
Belt

Dryers have a drive belt that turns the clothes drum. If the belt breaks, the drum stops rotating. Then you need to replace the belt , and often the idler pulley, because the pulley tends to wear out at the same time. . If you hear the motor running but it does not tumble it is most likely the belt.

Motor

If the dryer motor only hums when you press the Start button, the motor may be burned out.

Remove the belt.

Check for obstructions in the blower fan housing.

Manually rotate the shaft of the motor. If the motor is very stiff, or impossible to rotate manually, and the blower fan housing is clear, you need to replace the motor

If the motor rotates freely, run the motor momentarily with the belt removed and the blower in place. If the motor runs fine with the belt removed, there may be a problem with the idler pulley or the clothes drum. Try to rotate the drum by hand. If it is very difficult to move, correct any problem with the rollers or pulley, and then reassemble the dryer and try it again.

If the motor hums but doesn't rotate on its own even with the belt removed--yet you can turn it freely by hand--you usually need to replace the motor or the motor start capacitor. Check our videos on testing a motor and capacitor.

Door switch

Your dryer can't operate at all if the door switch is defective. It's inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch. Check for continuity. When Door is open no continuity when closed you should have a reading. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

Dewalt 36v SDS 234 drill issue! Could someone please help? When I pull the trigger on the drill the motor runs but the drive only turns for about 1 second and stops even though the motor is still running....

DeWalt says:
Number of drilling modes
3 modes. Rotation only, hammering with rotation, or hammering only with rotation stop for light chiselling applications in tiles and plaster and impact stop mode for rotary drilling only in wood and steel.
Maybe yours is doing the second one?

New compressor, when i turn it on it spins fast for 5- 10 seconds then slows down til it stops completely, oil is full, reset button on motor does not trip nor does my 50 amp breaker, i put voltmeter on...

Try tightening the drive belt first. As pressure builds a loose belt will start slipping and slows down . It will eventually stop if not cut off!! If this is not the problem remove the drive belt and run the motor 5 minutes or so and see if it runs OK. While the belt is off and motor not running turn the compressor by hand. If it hard to rotate it may be bad. .I have seen both bad motors and pumps from the factory on new units. It's very seldom it happens but can and has. Also look on the fly wheel. Their should be an arrow showing correct rotation. Make sure rotation is correct. since it is 1 ph it should be. If motor or compressor is bad there should be an 800 # on the tank. Give it a call or call your nearest IR distributor. You can also call the 800 # and talk with someone in tech support.

Stops running after it fills and rotates a few time. Then it eventually shuts off. Spin only works.

Hi,
I would say it could be several things. Not having an error code may rule part of them out. It sound like it could be the main control, the motor control or the motor itself. Since there is no error code I would lean towards the main control. But lots of electrical testing would be required to confirm this.

If the motor on the power brush is running the belt is bad, if the motor on the power brush only runs when you push the overload, the overload is bad.

Blades rotate twice but stop-motor continues to run, both forward & reverse mode its the same. Have tried to oil, unblock, run forward & back but to no avail. Can anyone help

Is the motor just humming after the 2 rotations? If you are over oiling the unit, tha shreds will soak up the oil and start sticking to the blades and begin growing a paper tumot in side the cutter shroud, whish in turn will start to slow down and jam the cutter asm and motor. Best to take apart and thoroughly clean.

Candy CNW156 washer/dryer: spins empty, won't spin under load

If the belt and the motor are OK, then tell your friend to check the motor coupler, the MCU (motor control unit).

See also the following link : It doesn't spin.

The drum on my dryer stopped turning it was heating and it just stopped turning, I just want to get instuctions on how to take it apart.

Door switch
Belt Dryers have a drive belt that turns the clothes drum. If the belt breaks, the drum stops rotating. Then you need to replace the belt, and often the idler pulley, because the pulley tends to wear out at the same time.

  • Remove the belt.

  • Check for obstructions in the blower fan housing.

  • Manually rotate the shaft of the motor.
