I have the BGLOD after a power interuption. Most times I could reset, but this time---dead. I have disassembled the the unit and removed the entire "pod" of boards. I was looking for blown fuse or bad caps, but there are many on the power board. I have heard that the DM board, which I have not pulled the cover on this as of yet could have bad caps as well. Do you think I should go after the caps on the power board, and or while I have it open replace any others? What do you think?

I would look in the power board, fuses are not always the glass fuses, some time they look like resistors and the only way the check them is with an ohm meter. Good Luck

My cd player keeps turning on and off. and dash clock light keeps dimming in and out and wont keep the time.

You have a loose wire. Will require removing the radio to get to the wire that keeps constant power to the radio ,,,this allows the clock to keep time. An interuption in this power source equal reseting the clock. Good luck

We have an error H3-00. What do we do?

H3-00 means there was a problem in the fuser unit of the copier - a temperature problem.
The correct temperature is not reached within a certain time or an overheat, It could be a thermostat or thermistor problem.
You could remove the fuser unit and make sure these items are clean - no build up on them, There should be a centre and side thermistor.
You can also reset the error code in SIM mode by pressing the following keys one after the other:

" P " " interupt " " C " " interupt "
Then 14 and start/copy key. Confirm if required and make sure the copier is restarted afterwards.

If the error persists then you may need new thermistors.
I hope this helps.

Dead

I am assuming that your unit cannot be powered up at this time. this is the result of a failed fuse or power supply board. remove the cover and check the in-line fuse(if equipped). if the fuse is OK, replace the entire power board. Now, if you unit isn't equipped with a fuse, you will need to check the solder on the power cord. make sure it is soldered on the power board correctly. if its not loose and, it is connected securely to the power board, replace the power board.

Code h4-01 on sharp ar407 had stuck sheet of paper cleared and still have the code.

H4 means the copier (fuser) does not reach a specified temperature within a given time frame.
This means one or more of several things. A bad or dirty thermistor or thermostat (most likely) or a bad heater lamp or a bad control board or AC supply.
The first thing to do is reset the error and see if it comes back. To do this enter service mode by pressing the following keys one after the other (make sure you are in copy mode) "P" "interupt" "C" "interupt" then enter 14 and "start" then enter "1" "start" and accept the reset. Restart the copier. (DONT play around with any other codes)
If problem persists then you may need to remove the fuser unit and take it apart in order to inspect/clean the thermistors and maybe reset/replace the thermostat.

Error code

Hi, H4 is a heater error. Try resetting it by the following; Enter #, interupt, Clear, interupt, display goes dead, enter 14 then print. That will clear the error code, however if you have a problem with the heater it will return. It is probably the thermal fuse has tripped, which is resetable by removing the fuser unit
