You're going to have to replace the broken lever AND switch.

I could not locate your exact model for a manual. This machine's manual is very similar. Please read the operating and "How To Start" instructions inside the manual. They can tell you better than I.

Undo the spring loaded cover on the very bottom of the machine, insert the vacuum tube for mulching in there and then attatch the catch bag for the mulched material to the outlet where the tube for the blower was...simple as that.

Electric motors sometimes have circuit breakers to protect them from overload or overheating. Some reset automatically, some don't. But even if you found and reset a breaker, this shoudn't happen 10 seconds after starting a new unit, unless you sucked a branch into it during those 10 seconds! Take it back to the store for a replacement.

The blower was still under warranty and Toro is replacing it.
