How to adjust the screen size

On my remote control for the TV, I look for the # key and press it as many times as necessary to get the correct size picture that is needed to fill the entire screen. Sometimes for some shows, you cannot get the picture to fill the entire screen and then there is nothing you can do to get the picture any larger.

Picture does not fill the screen

Check the main output voltage (B+) from its SMPS regulator side. If this voltage is lesser than normal, picture won't fill the entire screen. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy. Surf the site with patience.

Can't get picture to fill entire screen on Emerson 32" LC320EM1

Hi
On the remote there's a button labeled "screen mode". Depending on what you're watching this will change the screen to what you like.

Can not adjust width to full screen. Two choices, 4:3 and fill scree. neither fills screen horizontaly. Hight OK.

Are you receiving an HD signal?
The TV is most likely the new 16:9 size, and if you are only giving it the old 4:3 signal it will not fill up the entire horizontal size.

Sony 65 inch screen tv

The lines you saw, i;m sure they are the ones called retrace lines but know the failure could be located on the red CRT board. Most likely the video amplifier is defective and not necessarily the CRT.

Blue on the left and right sides of my rca scenium, 65 inch hi def rear projection tv

Well what may have happened is a bad thing, See if you can find some way of displaying a totaly white pix, and have this full size filling the entire screen. If the side bars are still there this means the CRT's are burned and this is a perminate thing, The fix would be to change the CRT's mabe just the green and the red but they still run about $285.00 each. This was cause by having the set run in a format that DOES NOT fill the entire screen

To make screen clearer.

Are you using the original remote control...Reg TV doesn't fit your screen because it's not filmed in HD...But it should be clear but you have to watch it smaller... Usually big screen tv's will have a black trim around the picture...And zoom cuts off some of the picture..Some tv's have wide, cinema and other options...Your TV might just have zoom
